KOH SAMET RALLY 2008

Summary:
The number of entries has reached almost 15 yachts with about 70 sailors. We have finalized the arrangements with resorts at Samaesan and Koh Samet
The first night's dinner (23.10) will take place at Tidathip Resort at Samaesan (mainland). The second night (24.10) we will have a dinner arrangement at Mooban Talay at Koh Samet. The final night (25.10) will be open for group or individual arrangements at Koh Samet.
At each of the locations there are possibilities of staying ashore overnight either for sailors, friends or family joining overland. Below are details of the resorts we will use for dinner parties. If you wish to use them for accommodation please book directly, informing them you are joining the Koh Samet Rally. Please note that the resorts are small and have limited number of rooms. It is essential that you book early directly with the resorts (see accommodation section below).
In the program we also indicated the coordinates of the anchorages. Please note that these are only indicative and you must yourself select a suitable and safe anchorage.
An uncertainty related to the program is the wind direction. Normally we expect light south-westerly winds, possibly interrupted by some rain showers. It is possible however that the north-easterlies already have commenced, in which case it may be necessary to change some of the anchorages.
The entry fee will be Baht 1,500 per person and will cover the cost of the 2 Rally dinners at Samaesan and Koh Samet respectively. Drinks are not include and must be paid separately and individually on the respective evenings.
As we do not have the necessary funds make advance payments for the dinners, we request the participants pay their entry fees latest on 18th October, when we will have a skippers' meeting at OMYC.
